The work of Simone Mudde (b. 1989) explores the concepts of time, labour and process. Such themes were depicted through the subjects and observations of her previous work in collaboration with Olivier van Breugel, yet more recently these attitudes have expanded with questions on how time can be perceived and manifested through the very processes involved in creating work. This current interest for colour in analogue photographic materials has developed into meticulous explorations where she tests the boundaries of her medium as well as her own abilities in creating. Whether it is by revisiting old techniques or by developing her own methodologies, she finds new ways of pulling apart the structure of the material to reveal new possibilities.

On this website you can view both her indivual works as her collaborative projects with Olivier van Breugel. View work
